Michigan Business Compliance Calendar
Every Michigan business has filing dates that come back every year — and missing one can cost you good standing, your authority, or your tax-exempt status. Pick your entity type and see the whole calendar.
The short answer
Michigan LLCs file a $25 annual statement by February 15, corporations file their annual report by May 15, and nonprofits by October 1 — all with Michigan LARA. Motor carriers add federal dates: UCR by December 31, the MCS-150 every 24 months, IFTA returns quarterly, and IRP plates annually. Details and sources below.

Common questions
What happens if my Michigan LLC misses its annual statement?
The LLC falls out of good standing, which can block loans, contracts, and state filings. If the statement stays unfiled for two years, LARA can administratively dissolve the LLC. Late filing penalties also apply. The statement is due February 15 each year and costs $25.
What are the recurring compliance dates for a Michigan trucking company?
UCR renews by December 31 every year, the MCS-150 must be updated every 24 months with FMCSA, IFTA fuel tax returns are due quarterly (Apr 30, Jul 31, Oct 31, Jan 31), and IRP plates renew annually through the Michigan Secretary of State. Your entity's annual statement with LARA is separate and also recurring.
Is this calendar legal or tax advice?
No. This is general information from official sources (Michigan LARA, IRS, FMCSA) and does not account for your specific situation. Clear Path Document Services is a document preparation service, not a law firm, and we do not provide legal or tax advice. Confirm dates that apply to you with the filing agency or a licensed professional.
